I describe being a Birth Doula as being your best friend for the day. A best friend you hire to be by your side, supporting you (and your partner), maintaining a calm space around you . As a bonus, I have extensive experience and training surrounding childbirth. My focus is on you, and what you need emotionally and physically during the most transformative moment of your life.
rmt as labour support provider
As a Registered Massage Therapist, Labour Support Provision is within our Scope of Practise. The Role of a Labour Support Provider is to provide continuous presence and care to the birthing parent through to birth.
The RMT as Labour Support Package includes:
1 x 1.5 hr prenatal info session with you and your birth partner of choice virtually
On-call 24/7 for Labour and Delivery at your chosen birth place from1 week prior to your due date to 10 days after your due date (can be adjusted based on need closer to date)
One follow-up visit virtually or in-home within the first week of Birth. In home visit can consist of a massage for birthing parent or baby.
Cost per package is $1500
HST will be applied to the above rate
Services may be covered in whole or part by your Extended Health Benefits. Direct Billing to most Insurance companies available.
