Clinic Policies


booking

Appointments can be booked online or by calling the office at 289.968.9881. A credit card will be required to hold the appointment. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit are accepted for holding appointments.

You will receive an email asking you to fill out your "reason for visit" ie relieve stress, and to fill out an Intake Form. Please fill these forms out and submit them prior to your visit. If you are unable to fill them out beforehand, please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure your full treatment time.  

Payment options

We accept Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. I offer direct billing to most insurance companies, however individual plans vary and may not cover the full amount of each service. You are responsible for knowing the terms of your coverage and ensuring we receive full payment for goods and services rendered. I am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding direct billing prior to your first appointment. 


What to wear

Usually, you will undress completely for your session and you will be covered securely the whole time, and we will uncover only the part being worked as it is being worked. (Leave undies on if you want)


Gratuities

While I sincerely appreciate the gesture, the best show of gratitude is your repeat business and/or referrals. If you loved your massage, tell everyone! If you think something could be improved, please let me know directly in person or via email and give me the chance to make it right. 


doctor's notes

Some insurance companies require a doctor's referral for massage therapy in order to receive reimbursement. Please ensure you have a note, if it is required, at your first appointment.  


do not get a massage if: 

Please cancel your appointment if you have any of the following conditions:

  • You have an active infectious or contagious disease

  • You have a fever, nausea or diarrhea

  • Threat of miscarriage - current bleeding, spotting, hemorrhaging

  • Premature labour (labour prior to 37 weeks) -- but we can work with women on bed rest.

  • GEPH (Pre-eclampsia)

  • Toxemia (eclampsia)

  • No regular fetal movement felt for 8-10 hours and you are concerned about it

  • Severe, unexplained abdominal pain

  • If you are pregnant and have a throbbing/migraine headache

  • Kidney and/or bladder disease or infection

  • You have un-diagnosed lumps

  • Any active inflammatory disease affecting blood vessels


cancellation policy

I have reserved your appointment time JUST for you.

I require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation/rescheduling. You can cancel or reschedule your appointment via your confirmation email by clicking on "cancel or reschedule here" or by calling/texting the office at 289.968.9881 and leave a message or by emailing me at hello@niagaraprenatalmassage.com

If a true emergency presents itself that conflicts with your appointment, we ask that you notify us immediately through any medium necessary. You can email me at any time of day or night, or make a phone call and leave a voice message any time during normal waking hours, but it is your responsibility to ensure you have received a reply from us to confirm cancellation BEFORE your missed appointment time. 

If you....

  • Cancel/change your appointment with at least 24 hours notice: no problem, no charge.

  • Cancel/change within 24 hours of your appointment for any reason: $35 cancellation fee, or 50% of the full session rate (whichever is greater.) You can avoid this by sending someone in your place! If we are able to fill the appointment: no charge.

  • Cancel/change your appointment within 2 hours: Full charge, unless we can rebook that slot.

  • Failure to show up without notice: if you simply do not show up for any reason, with no notice, we will charge your card on file for the session.

  • IF YOU ARE IN LABOUR: minimum 2 hours notice required to cancel your appointment.

  • IF YOU ARE IN LABOUR and don't notify us and don't show up, we will charge the card on file the full rate for the session.

If you have circumstances that you  feel deserve special consideration, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can decide whether or not to make an exception to this policy.
